Hey everybody. I have a spare block and head for my 320 and i was wondering what i would be getting myself into if i were to purchase a junkyard turbo. I want to build a gnarly street motor and i figure since ive got a running motor in my car now, why not build a turboed motor. Please let me know. Thanks.

Do you have plan on going EFI or stay CIS?
Do you know alot about the motor and the CIS system?

CIS is easier and cheaper. I think all you need is a Volvo AFM. Also, I hear its best to have the early E21 or 2002 M10, as it is 2 liters and has forged internals.

Well mine is a 79... is that early enough? And...*ahem*... what is a Volvo AFM? I'm not up on my lingo so I have no idea. Also, is CIS what i should have stock?

Well i have discovered that mine is indeed a 2 litre. And i now know what the CIS is. I researched a Volvo AFM, now i know what that is. So what is the best way to go about purchasing and installing/fabricating everything for my motor?
