ABS light reset

Hi out there,
Anyone know how to "reset" the ABS light? I accidently disconnected the speed sensor doing a brake job. I have everything connected back up now but the ABS (and ASC) is still on.

OOPS. This is on a 2002 330CI

It should go out by itself after driving for awhile.

If the X5 is similar to the E46 in this regard, then it's not long at all. Maybe a minute or two

You could use a diagnostics tool to reset it, however if you have not rectified the problem then the light will just turn back on.

It seems a bit concerning that your car is telling you that your ABS is not working, however you are looking to try and turn the warning light off and ignore the problem? If you fix the issue properly then the light will go off after a minute or so of driving, and will stay off. ABS really can be a life-saver, I wouldnt ignore it!

Have a look to ensure that the sensor is connected properly, if this isnt solving the problem then it might be wise to do a diagnostic check to find out exactly what is causing the problem. You can get diagnostic code readers for dirt cheap on eBay.

Thanks Stuzor, but it all happen when I disconnected a few control module plugs under the hood.... =(

all woworked out drive, drive, drive, and drive some more maybe 1,000 miles or so but it should go off, if not maybe you should get a check.. but this happen to me and now the X% is running really well
