Mini owners

Will someone kindly tell the owners of Minis that they are NOT BMWs! Direct them to register at Minifest. I like the cars but.........I know BMW owns Mini but here is my point. Ford owned Astin Martin. When the Astin Martin owners had an event, did they have parking for Focus or Fusion?

Have you ever actually been to Bimmerfest? If so, you would know that the Mini has been a welcome guest.

As a matter of fact, I've seen a focus at an Aston Martin event. So sock it. Kapisch?

Mein Auto: Mini Cooper S
If my Mini is not a BMW then why are the majority of the parts on the car, such as brake calipers and window glass, stamped with the letters BMW? Why does the make of my Mini state BMW on the registration?

The rights to the Mini Cooper name was obtained by BMW when they purchased the Rover Group but the new Mini is designed by BMW engineers (Frank Stephenson who also worked on the X5) and built with mostly BMW parts. Just because it is assembled in Oxford, England doesn't necessary make it estranged from BMW.
