I drive both, my GF has the RRS. The RRS drivees significantly better on snow, due to their ability to chagne into "snow mode"

My X has the 20" Sports Package and thus might be the downside to driving in snow (Skids like crazy)

The HUD on the X5 is great, it shows your current speed (the most useful perk), cruise control (if active), and a very convenient ability- shows the direction of your Nav.

I must add, the X5 drives much sportier, with Powerful thrusts, its like having the feeling to keep on running and going, and not getting enough of life on the road.

The RRS drives elegantly, and it passes everyone in its own class. It seats much higher than the X5 with sports package, and you would cruise in it.

Overall, I LOVE my X5, but once in a while, I miss the feeling of that "Superiority" on the RRS. The downside of the RRS is that, when I meet some "racer" guy on the road I want to pass, I would DEARLY miss the power of my X5.

BTW I drive the X5 4.8i, and my GFs RRS is the HSE, not the Supercharged.

Hope this helps.

HUD is a fantastic option that I wouldn't be without.

I love the looks of the RRS, but the electronics and the power are both subpar.
