What alarm has it got? Mines got a Clifford Concept 300 and the valet switch is on the centre console with the LED. Its a two button switch, one has a star on it and the other is blank. You need to eneter a code using the switch. Alternatively you can press two buttons on the fob (the top and bottom left ones) at the same time to enter valet mode.
Hope this helps |

I have a Python alarm and a spare remote to program. I know about the "valet" mode but the book indicates some kind of actual switch somewhere.

all depends on where the fitter fitted it could be anywhere sometimes on center console driver and passenger under dash kickpanels or in glove box shouldnt be to hard to find if it was there, the whole point of it is so the driver can access and switch it,sometimes there isnt an actual switch,do you have a immobiliser type key fob thing on your key ring like a small tube with terminals on the end sometimes this is also a valet switch on some alarms.

Thanks all. I'll check the 328 this weekend. The Python alarm does do a valet mode from the transmitter on the keychain. Time to read the manual some more...

I remember some of the Mercedes I worked on had valet keys. The car knew what key was in the ignition and would limit it the speed as such... pretty cool
