Replacing Roundels opinion

Hey just thought i would get a popular opinion from people on the board. I'm considering replacing the traditional roundels with carbon fiber ones. I've got a black X3 so I'm just wondering if you guy's think changing the roundels is tacky or sorta cool. Heres a link to what I'm talking about.

Also does anyone know where I can find a blacked out front grille? And any thoughts on that...?

Thanks for sharing your opinion!

We'll be replacing our factory Roundels with the carbon/white ones as soon as we take delivery in a couple weeks. So we're the "I think they're cool" club.

eas said they will be offering black kidney grills for the X3 soon. (That's where we got our Roundels from - and we'll be ordering the black grills too.)

Are the roundels easy to pop off? Are you replacing all of them?
Curious mind maybe wants to spend some money...

the carbon fiber looks really good on black. Pretty easy to change, the front just pops off, I think the rear is one piece, so I ground the pins off and used body tape to stick it over the rear emblem. Have fun!

Since we don't have the vehicle yet it's hard to say, but we'll investigate promptly upon delivery. If the rear one is held on by pins we'll find a way to remove it and replace it with the new one, which came with pins as well.

Yep, we got replacements for the center caps, front, rear and steering wheel. We also got replacements for the M logos (shades of gray) on the wheels & steering wheel.

Thanks for the pictures. Those sure look great! I think I'm gonna go ahead and buy them along with a blacked out grille whenever it becomes available. Hot Croc... the grille you previously mentioned is that for the 04-06 or 08+?. Also what are you talking about with the ///M emblems? Just the little stickers on the wheels? Link?

Thanks!

Our X3 will have the Sport Package so there's an M logo on our steering wheel; the wheels we bought also have a little niche for the M logo, so we bought a set of black/white/gray M logos to replace those colored ones.

Not sure what year(s) they will have black grills for. My guess is they would have more than just the current model year. Send Tom at eas an email - he's very friendly, helpful and quick to respond.
