Hi Lance! Will the kit work on a E39 Tours rear regulators? I know the rear doors are slightly different. I have a 99 540it.

Looking at realoem website they call out the same regulators for both the sedan and the tours so if your manufacturing date is 6/99 or before the kit should work, after 6/99 it depends just which regulator your car was built with, a picture of the early style is on my site www.bmwrepairkit.com

My rear windows quit working. Any other potential problems? Do you have any idea about door issues? MY front passenger door won't open from the outside. Locks work fine. I opened the panel and saw the the cable wasn't going high enough to push the trigger that opens the door. Thanks!!! BTW mine is a 97 528i.

Also, does this fix the problem where the rear window can be wound down, but does not wind up? I am able to push it up with my hands, but when using the button it just whirrs but doesn't move. It also falls down slightly when I ride over bumps, and I have to push it back up with my hands. Cheers.
