Hi Lance,
I've a 1998 528i and need a kit for the rear passenger side. Please let me know how to contact you and forward payment. My personal mail is at regb1d@yahoo.com

My driver's front is also not working fully. Any solutions for that one. I've heard I can buy the part in plastic but haven't been able to locate them. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Reg

I have a 2000 528I. Do you know anyone who has a rear window regulator fix for my year vehicle?

Sorry Gerry as far as I know you are looking at having to replace the regulator as I know of no repair kits for the 2000 and later models.

Thanks for your reply.

I found a regulator online for $85.00. I guess thats not too bad a price, but a $15.00 fix would have been a dream.

Take care

It does sound like the typical symptoms, is your build date 3/99 or earlier? The regulator changed after 3/99 and my kit won't work on the newer regulator. I'll send you a PM with more info.

Yes, No, maybe... You are really on the dividing line, take off the door panel and look and see if the drive motor is attached to the door frame or is part of the window regulator. If it is attached to the door frame (6 screws I think) then yes my kit will work, if the motor is attached directly to and part of the window regulator you are out of luck!

I've seen cable replacement kits on ebay out of the UK. Only thing I know though is getting things wound up right on the drum is a royal PITA!
