Hi Lance,
I have a 98 528i with a bad rear left regulator. The motor seems to be working because I can hear it. It's not supporting the window anymore though. Will your kit help me fix this? I'm not really sure what your kit has or what it does but I came across people getting this kit from you. If you think your kit can help me please let me know how I can order one. Lance, still haven't received regulator kits yet, just curious if you had to manufacture the parts & that's the hold up or maybe it's with shipping. Its been about 3 weeks since I sent the money order & just wondering if you could give me an update.

I've been asked if I could produce the parts to make the repair. I've torn apart my good door to get measurements and have everything ready to go to make repair kits available for those of you that are interested. These parts will be nice, not like what are pictured in my original repair.

The repair kit will include parts to repair 2 rear window regulators for the typical broken slider problem. The kit will include the repair parts, nuts, bolts, proper drill bit, hex key, and instructions with pictures. All you will need are basic hand tools and a drill. To keep from having to print a lot of stuff I plan to send the instructions by email so be aware.

I'm not planning on getting rich here just helping other E39 owners with what is a common and expensive repair. Oh yeah, the price is $15 shipped in the US. I know sticker shock.... and I can take PayPal if it makes things easier.

These parts will only fit the rear regulators not the front.

I'd like to purchase this repair kit. What can I do to get this ASAP? My 528 regulaltor has been broken and the dealer wants about $380.00 just for the part. Since I've been laid off I need to pull my wrenches and start doing my own repairs.

What does this part look like. I want to take a look at my regulators to see if your fix may work. It looks like it will cast me around $220 to put in rebuilt regulators myself from Ebay.

Sorry but the kit probably isn't going to work for you as the regulators changed midyear 99, your 01 uses a regulator that is different and the repair kit won't fit.

Sorry, the repair kit only works on the rear windows, I have looked into but do not have a repair kit for the fronts, their problems are usually much different than the rears, it's new regulator time I'm afraid.

so no fix for the '01s?!!! is it possible for you to come up with one? I can pay you the cost of the part(s) =S... It sucks cuz I dont want to pay $600 to have it fixed by the stealership, id rather do it myself!

Sorry but most likely not, Everyone seems to get the best price on regulators on ebay, that's where I would suggest you start looking.
