Passenger Window and Door Lock failed on the same day…

Can someone please shed some light on this?

Last week, I had a ball joint replaced on the passenger's side. The next day, I noticed the following two (2) issues:

1- I could no longer roll down the passenger’s window from the driver’s side; however, it does roll down when using the switch on the passenger's side.

2- The passenger door does not unlock and I can’t open the door from the inside, the button goes up and then right back down when I release the handle.

I spoke to the mechanic and obviously, it is nothing that they could have done and I’ll have to replace the regulator and the driver’s door switch.

Somehow, I doubt that two things could go wrong on the same door on the same day and without any previous warnings.
