X3 Bluetooth Question
Hi!
My first time on this forum. I just traded my 2006 330i for a 2008 X3 and I am having issues with the bluetooth. It is paired fine, but when I try to look up a phone number to dial out i have to scroll through the entire phone book. With my 330i, the bluetooth had an alphabetic directory. Am I missing something? I can't belive the technology woud have went backwards. Any help? Frustrated X3 Owner |

Sorry for the bad news, but the '08 X3 is technologically behind your '06 330i. The X3 is still based on the E46 3-series platform, which dates to 1999. Thus, the technology (except for the motor and gearbox) dates to that era as well. Hence, the pixellated displays, non-user-programmable key functions, single zone climate control, and lack of rear vents. |

you are not missing anything... you have to scroll through the phone book. of course, you can always use the voice commands and just say "dial *name*"
