largest tire on 16"

I picked up some 16" bottlecaps to put race tires on for autocrossing. I think they came stock as 225/45. Will a 235 or 245 fit on there without spacers or is 225 about it? I did a quick search and nothing popped up.

I think the bottle caps came with 205's, if the width of the wheel is 7" which I think it is, you would be good with 225's, and most likely 235's would fit too, just call tire rack or something

Depends on the width of the rim. Should be marked 16 x #J. The # is the rim width. If its 7, I'd stop at 225. 225 was an OEM size. If its 8, you can run 235's ok, but I don't think 245s will clear the suspension.
