Throttle Response
I drive an '05 330Ci, 6 speed standard transmission.
The gas pedal feels like there are elastic bands connecting it to the throttle. It really makes quick starts difficult. I've driven the '08 328 and 128 and they don't feel like like this. Why did BMW design such a spongy gas pedal? What's the purpose? It makes a great car unnecessarily difficult to drive. I know the car is drive-by-wire where the throttle is connected to the throttle through the ECU, so why doesn't BMW offer a fix via a software revision that would allow the owner or dealer to adjust this? I agree, overall the pedal is very stiff, i've read a lot of threads like this. After driving in heavy traffic my leg feel strained.... not like any car ive driven. I think the difference from my other cars is this is drive by wire and theres a heavy spring in the housing. I have never read a way to make this looser, but I would really like this pedal to feel like a honda you know? hehe
