E36 and E46 VDO Gauge Kit Group Buy

A very small handful of people asked about a VDO group buy last week. This is what we're proposing:

E36 VDO Package: VDO Vision series oil temp, oil press, voltmeter, with senders, wiring, OEM-look gauge panel, 3 LeatherZ amber bulb covers to match factory illumination, instructions:: $325.00 plus shipping. Most similar kit on market is BMP, but their $359.95 kit does not come with instructions, oil-resistant wiring, or amber bulb covers.

E46 VDO Package: VDO Vision series oil temp, oil press, voltmeter, with senders, wiring, OEM-look handmade leather gauge panel, 3 LeatherZ amber bulb covers to match factory illumination, instructions:: $285.00 plus shipping. Regular price is $350.00.

Need at least 5 people (E36 and E46 combined) to commit to these prices. Group buy opens today and closes in 7 days. Sorry, no gauge substitutions allowed. If you have installation questions, call me at home at 513.377.0162 and I will help you. We do not send out our instructions unless you buy a kit from us.

Please reply to this post if you are interested.

We can accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Paypal, cash, etc.

You're going to love the kit, Andre, especially at the track with the oil temp and pressure sensors. Check out my previous post about my gauge kit.

Raffi,

Thanks for the pointer. It was actually your thread that got me seriously thinking about it. That and not wanting to guess about when the engine was properly warmed up.

Xs3x,

I don't have a good space for doing two installs, but if our schedules mesh, and we find some space, we can certainly do the install together.

I was thinking I could do it on my car first, and then help you out. I have seen how it's done, and I'm pretty confident about it.

Ok. That's 4 total. By tomorrow, I may consider that close enough and start assembling kits to ship. When you guys get a second, send me an email and let me know how you want to pay. For credit card orders, phone in your CC (never, ever email CC info!) to my brother Andy at 513.232.8266.

I tried contacting Eastern Motorwerks once and it sounded to me like they didn't even remember that their kit existed.

Eastern uses a slightly different panel than the one we are using. I cannot say one is better than the other, just different.

Plus we have amber bulb covers. Not red.

Jon,
1) Are you covering the guage panels in leather?

2) Is an oil distribution block included so we don't have to hook up to the drain plug location or is this extra?

Yes, this is a duplicate of my PM but I figured others were interested.

E46 panels are leather. E36 panels are textured plastic.

Oil distribution block not included. Basic kit uses oil drain plug temperature sender. If you want a distribution block, order from here or from your vendor of choice.

EDIT: you may be able to get a handmade dual port block from Bimmerfest-local Randy Forbes. Maybe for less than other places. Email him for quote: Erandyforbes@aol.com
