Can you take a bunch more pictures of that drop down screen unit. Where'd you score that from.................. can you provide more information about it. I'd be seriously interested in knowing more about that piece.

That BMW DVD player is very nice, but also very expensive. I've heard rumors of US$1500+ installed. You can get a very nice portable unit for $400, and an aftermarket unit for $1000 or so.

I would agree...
The BMW unit is very pricey, regardless of whether you go DVD or VHS. A guy at Circuit City who looked at it told me it was an Audiovox unit relabeled for BMW. The "value add" is apparently the custom console unit. I considered the DVD unit to go with my VHS player, but it is pretty expensive too, around $1000 - $1500 or so. However, my daughter loves it!

Thank you! I like it a lot. Although I might have liked the Anthracite interior a little more, it would have shown a LOT more dirt. And with a 5-year-old, I'll take as many non-dirt-showing choices as I can get :-)

I'm not a big gray or tan (sand) fan for that exact reason. Shows too much dirt.
