Bimmerfest 2008 damages.....

Well my first bimmerfest was great! we did have a little crash in Denver when we hit a snow storm. Here are some of the pictures I have of the damages.

After about 1:10 its just the camera sitting on the ground.

Well my Dad was driving, thats him in the background saying things. I was calm because there is nothing that I can do to stop it (I was behind the camera) Ive been in plenty of situations that are beyond my control, so there is no point in getting all worked up at the time. After the crash I was pissed and sad for my car. We did still make it to the show after the crash though, and it was way worth the drive! I met so many great people there. I will be coming back next year and for each year after that, the car I bring will end up being one of my 88 325iXs though, not as pretty of cars but way better for mountain driving.

haha yes the iX always a better choice for that type of driving.

I saw your car at Bimmerfest, wondering how that happened. Sorry to hear that.

Ouch sorry about the car buddy. But if it makes you feel any better youre not the only one that got in a accident that weekend. I was driving up with the OC caravan and the SD caravan and i got rearened by one of the guys in the SD caravan. It was a total accident but yeah.... So thats my story.

Dang, seams bimmerfest claims a couple of cars each year...... Maybe I will just bring a tank of some sort next year.... who knows of a military base thats not guarded very well?

Dont know of one but if you find one let me know because ill be taking one next year as well. Ill just put a little M badge on the side somewhere and no one will ever be able to tell the difference!

i'm also sorry about what happen to your car good thing you and friend were safe. I ran into a accident my self on the way back to missouri a tornadeo with hail like golf balls so my car has about 30 to 35 golf ball damage to it and i wasn't as calm as you were.

that blows big time... not only does it feel like slow-motion when it happens to you at the time.. the video really makes it look like slow motion too

Damn - I didn't realize you drove from so far away.

I love your car - caught a pic of it as you were driving away...

Just thought I would update this thread, The car just came back from paint, and is getting put back together now, I am still waiting on a couple of parts to be ordered in from the Dealership

Here are a couple pictures of it in the body shop getting paint.

Lookin good, Erik. Its gonna look good as new. All ready for another snow storm on next years drive, eh?
