Bimmerfest 2009?

I know that it's a little early and being that I missed this years gathering, I was wondering if next years date has been set yet.

We are supposed to have a family gathering and have the chioce of the 1st or 2nd weekend of May. I don't want to miss it 2 years in a row.

I'm wondering the same thing... Anybody know if a date for 09' Bimmerfest has been set yet? I missed out this year and I do not want to miss 2009!

I would imagine the date has been set by now. The organizers usually announce this information in late September.

It's too early for me to make an official statement yet, but figure the show to fall on the same (first weekend of May) weekend as the past two years.

Once our plans are concrete I will post an official announcement here.

All I can say for now is that Bimmerfest will remain a Southern California event, and we will
have two to three times the amount of available space as we had at Earl Warren!

yo Jon I think you should bump bimmerfest back a few weekends lol.

Jon like a few people have already mentioned, The first week of May is right in the middle of College Finals all though out the west coast. We have many BMW enthusiasts that are currently in college, and this move in date would benifit quite a large percentage of active BMW enthusiasts.

I think it would be in the best interest to move it forward or backward a few weeks. Plus Cino de Mayo is also on the same weekend like the last two events. Hotel prices are higher because of that also.

Any news on this yet? I see it wont be at Earl Warren Center. I hope its still in Santa Barbara!!

The public event announcement is coming a lot later this year than it has in prior years. Maybe they're waiting on the sponsorship picture to stabilize so they can make a big splash? Dunno.

Jon stated the date of the event in his earlier post to this thread, and he let me leak the location a couple of weeks ago.
