I think P0600 is the tranny and the DME can't talk to each other over the serial bus.
(I am assuming that you have an auto tranny) Is anything else not working as it should? (hard shifting, not shifting, etc) |

Yeah, I have an auto tranny with step.
Car is in Trans Fail Safe mode. SES, DSC, Gear with the "!" lights are on. The display where it shows what position the gear is in on the cluster does not work. Pulling codes: P1156, P1138, P1152, P1135, (<-- I just purchased 4 new o2 sensors to fix these codes, I hope) and the dreaded P0600. Last edited by uchitek510; 06-04-2008 at 11:19 PM. |

Code Desc:
SAE Code P1156 DTC Code 17564 Description Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Circuit Open/Short to Ground SAE Code P1138 DTC Code 17546 Description Long Term Fuel Trim Add. Fuel, Bank2 System too Lean SAE Code P1152 DTC Code 17560 Description Bank1, Long Term Fuel Trim, Range 2 Leanness Lower Limit Exceeded SAE Code P1135 DTC Code 17543 Description O2 Sensor Heating Circuit, Bank1+2-Sensor2 Electrical Malfunction SAE Code P0600 DTC Code 16984 Description Serial Communication Link (Data Bus) Message Missing I would leave P0600 until last as you will have to take it to an indy or dealer. Special tools are required to analyze what is going on. |

hey thanks max.
What should I check and how would I fix each of these codes?: P1156 P1138 P1152 P1135 I just thought they were failing o2 sensors...but from your code descriptions, I am not too sure anymore? Hopefully fixing these codes will fix the P0600 code? Last edited by uchitek510; 06-06-2008 at 08:55 AM. |
