It's encouraging to see these kinds of relatively trouble free high mileage X3's. My wife's 2007 has been trouble free since new and looks showroom. It's about to turn 47,000 and we're thinking we will be keeping it for quite a while.

The new Blistein shocks are installed and work great!

That was me between late Dezember and mid January. Christmas holiday plus company training plus weekend trips......."holy crap I put in 6k mls in the past month!"

Chugging away near 149k mls.

Passed 150k mls (240.450km) couple days ago in Boone, NC. Got the mirror assembly fixed and an ATF (and filter set) changed at the dealer earlier this week. Felt it deserved an ATF change given the hard work it's done in the mountains.

At about 166k now in my 2004 2.5i still having fun with it! While at my friends shop someone came in with an 04 3.0i manual and it had 311k on it!

a Daily Driver X3
'09 X3 w/80K miles and no issues. Scanning the replies to this thread suggests that many X3s are "occasional use only" vehicles. Interesting.
