Are you still on the original water pump? I have it and a thermostat standing by but don't want to be too hasty in changing them. The motor has no commutator so it has the capability of lasting a very, very, long time.

about to hit 115,000 miles this week.

evaporator has a leak but i don't plan on replacing it soon... i just plan refilling it with freon every 6 weeks or so. my wife and i were actually thinking of trading it in for a 2010 MDX, but decided that we love this X3 too much, and decided to trade in my 2008 e92 328i instead. the X3 is simply more practical, has been pretty maintenance free, and I think it will last longer than my coupe.

Wow! That's great. Whats your maintenance routine? And what oil are you using?
I'm at 145,000 in our 2004 X3 3.0.

It's been awhile since we heard from you...welcome back! It's great to hear you still have your x3 and she is still treating you well!

I know I am keeping mine for a very long time still.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome back. Life sure gets busy sometimes. The answer on oil is Mobil 1 5-30 extended wear. However, I did just find out that the extended wear Mobil 1 oil has been discontinued. I'll switch to the regular Mobil 1 from now on. I change the oil every 7,500 miles. I also enjoy doing all the maintenance on her myself. I did just barely have to replace both drive lines and she drives like new again. Getting ready to drain and fill my transmission again. (Every 100k miles, no such thing as a lifetime fill for me). Thanks again for the welcome! You all are great!

131k on the clock and I've decided to put off suspension work to do rims and tires instead.
Going with Avante Garde M310 19x8.5 in hyper silver with Kumho Ecsta 4x 255/40r19 tires. The set will include Oro-Tek tpm sensors and will be Road Force balanced.

Question is, do I need to take my x3 into a shop to have the new tpm sensors synced to the X3, or should it just work, once I press the tpm button on the center console?

I had not heard the extended wear Mobil 1 was discontinued. I use the same oil in my X3.

137,000 Miles and going strong. Oil change every 6k or so. Getting a little noisy up front might be front bearings.

My 09 hit 120k this morning on my drive into Reno for a meeting and it still got almost 24 mpg over the hill. It's been a great 120k commute miles....I love this car!

My 09 finally made it over 17,000 miles and had 1 repair under warranty. It needs its annual oil change next month.

I could use an electric car.

That just means you are getting more benefit out of your car than I do mine.

My '09 is right behind you at 116,711 miles. Still faithfully soldiering on with zero problems. The best vehicle I've ever owned.

I have decided that this is just what the X3 is so, no.

Short commute, lots of other forms of transportion including a new bike so the car is likely to die of old age before succumbing to high mileage.

Approaching 89k on my '05 x3 - surprising these cars rate average/above average on some sites for maintenance/problems... The only problem I have had to date is the battery dying a little over a week ago and I actually found out the battery was the ORIGINAL 2005 battery....... So...................
