Z4 added Cigar lighters

Redid the one cigar lighter in the same area. Cut the panel in half to see where they could go.

Did you decide not to use the Powerlet socket I gave you?

Please tell me you don't smoke in your car...

I added three outlets in the storage compartment between the seats. One powers my Drive+Play (an Ipod interface), the other charges my pocket GPS unit and the third one goes unused at the moment. I'll take pictures if anyone wants.

Yes. Decicded to stay with the standard size with lighting.

Please take pics. Also how did you wire up the harness ? Does it shut down the sockets when the engine is off (this is what I want since I don't want to drain my battery when parked).

Wanting to add a few power and/or USB plugs in the rear center console of my Z4 roadster.

Now I know these look like the rear placement in a coupe, but any other ideas on what and where a guy could install a 'factory' look power plugs? Need power for GPS, phone, etc.

oh i so want usb chargers in the car.. right now im able to use a dual usb cig lighter.. more would be better

I am actually trying to get the wires out of the way...and of course hide things such as cell, ipod, tablet, etc and get those bulky chargers out of the way.

You may want to try to contact Syaka above. They have a roadster and added the plugs to the center storage compartment.

I'd be interested in seeing this set up as well, especially the wiring. I just had the cigarette lighter socket replaced in my '08 Z4 because it would not power my GPS/iPhone..... BMW asserts that the cigarette lighter is just that, a cigarette lighter and never meant to charge peripherals, but they still replaced it for me under warranty.
