Talking Leatherique Results

I have had good results with Leatherique. The leather in my E39 was in need of help. It had hardened (the backs of the rear head rests, and a few other spots) and was just grungy looking. So I enlisted the aid of the best leather products known to the detailing community...Leatherique.

These are before pictures:

I let it sit for 3 days while I was away and presto!

I assure you it is as soft as it looks. On a side note, I will redye my driver's seat at some point (you can see in the pics where some dye has worn off). Overall, I think it is a good (maybe excellent) product line that can save even some of the worst interiors. I thought that mine would need an entire redye, now I only have to do a small bit. Thanks Leatherique!

Leatherique.com

You can buy them from autogeek.com, but they are more expensive for the same thing

For the twins (rejuvenator and pristine clean) they are $15 overpiced. The pristine clean is priced right, but the rejuvenator is far off the mark.

I've use the Leatherique products for about 4 years. Nothing else I've used works as well to make the leather supple.

The Rejuvinator Oil absorbs best when the interior is hot. It's a good idea to park the sun in direct sunlight and slather it on. Like 2 to 4 ounces per seat. Then let the car sit in the sun until the RO is absorbed. that may take a couple of hours or all day depending on temperature. Then you clean the seats with Pristine Clean.

W.S., does Leatherique products come in smaller sizes? You've seen my interior and my leather is not in bad shape nor discolored. What say you? I also have a chair I'd like to try it on.

Raymond,

I think Leatherique comes in 16, 32, and 128 ounce sizes. You can buy the RO or PC separately. Ro is the treatment, PC is the cleaner.

Both Leatherique and colorplus (colorplus.com) sell easy DIY redye kits that allow people to fix small areas or redye the entire interior of their cars.

No, there are not really any other products that will save your leather like Leatherique. the Griot's Garage stuff was absolute junk....

Most likely Leatherique will bring it back. Take a look at their site and you will be amazed. I strongly unrge you against getting new skins for your seats. Unless they are ripped to shreds they can be fix with Leatherique

First check that those areas are not just creased. Most likely that is what they are, wear creases. If your leather is cracked both Leatherique and Color Plus sell crack filler that you apply before redying.

Thanks for your feedback on this, I need to treat my seats and was unsure if I should use this stuff, but I'll give it a try!

IMO, don't even bother. If you have a second car then take the seat(s) out of you car and do it yourself. I saw an E24 that the owner had redyed all the seats himself (first time he ever did it) and they looked brand new. You will pay hundreds of dollars to a leather specialist (if you can find one). The products are fairly inexpensive from leatherique (leatherique.com) and Color Plus (coloplus.com). DIY!

Have you tried leatherique first? Your problems may be related to dryness or otherwise. Try leatherique first. It can do miracles!

Tell them you are in the BMW Car Club and they will give you a discount or additional free product, all you have to do is ask, and they never ask for a membership number or anything...

You will have soft, well moisturized creases.

Seriously, nothing will remove them, other than new leather.
