Replacement Speakers and Subwoofers

SOME NEW SPEAKER OFFERINGS!!! (and some not so new)

Ok, so I am new here, and my main reason for joining is that I have a 2011 740Li, and have been severely disappointed with the sound system. I know this is no News Flash or anything, but I figured I'd come here and try to find out what others are doing. All in all, I have found a few good tips, and an awesome lead to TECHNIC's harness, but what I have found is that there just aren't a lot of bolt-in speakers since BMW uses the funky 3-hole set-up on their 100mm mids and the oddly shaped 200mm sub-woofers under the seats; where a large majority of other cars use the standard 4-bolt pattern. So, I'm the kind of guy that will start scouring the internet, both here in the U.S., as well as Europe, to see what is out there because I refuse to believe that there is nothing out there for us.
As you might of imagined, my first internet search turned up a lot of BSW (bavarian sound works) links and not a hell of a lot more than that. I did email and call them, and despite not advertising anything on their site, they do have speakers that will fit our cars. They just are not 100% sure of the installation, so they don't want to advertise until they are. I did ask where they are manufactured, and the person emailed me back indicating that they were made in China. To me this isn't a total deal killer necessarily because some of the other high-end stereo equipment (and other high quality electronics like the iphone, etc.), and they look to be well made. the other thing is that they have obviously put a lot on the line for BMW owners, so I have a feeling it is a decent product line.
I had previously paid a visit to my installer, but even his database wasn't able to identify the sizes at that time, however, he had done an install on a 5 Series, so he was familiar with the under-seat subs. He knew about the Earthquake SWS-8's but said that Earthquake is a crap brand, so he was recommending the Gladen replacements, which he described in the following manner, "Chris, they look like cheap flea market speakers when you pull them out of the box, but to my surprise they really f@#$in' crank, especially when used as mid-bass drivers.". So, I continued to search, and finally I started to have some luck. And part of that luck has to do with some new offerings that you all may not be aware of yet, which is why I decided to start this thread. So here is what I have found, and I would love to hear of anything else out there before I finalize my purchase:

I could use some information on cheap sound upgrade options as well. Not sure how long I will be keeping the car, so don't want commit too much money to the system.

I think BSW has speaker packages for F10, would that be suitable (or partially suitable) for the F01?

I hear that F01/F02 sans the RWS have better audio system. One of our board resident can vouch for his KIA sound system.
Perhaps he might chime in later.

I think that the MB Quart option might be the most affordable. I have not found it for sale in the U.S. yet, but in Europe it looks like it is more affordable than the BSW set, and it comes with the under-seat sub-woofers. I don't have a lot of experience with MB Quart, but they are a well-known brand, though maybe not up there with Focal.

The BSW option is a good one if you're not worried about replacing the subs, or you could pick these up separately. If you are interested, I would highly encourage you to give them a call. They will put together a package for you, even though they do not advertise it. They ARE working on the subs, but won't say when they will hit the market. They are looking for people to help them verify the installation and send them photos for the F01/F02. I suspect they will have an official package on the market very soon.
