Orient and all, I have a 2011 BMW 335i sedan and I really want to get rid of the run flat tires. My car has Bridgestone 225/40 RF 18 92W tires in front and 255/35 RF 18 94ws in back. I guess that is stock. I'm going to start looking for non run flats now. Meanwhile, I'm looking for a spare solution. It looks as if you bought an "emergency" spare kit from BMW. What do they call that kit? I guess that that the "small' emergency wheel & tire works for both front and rear for 100 miles or so? That's all I need. How did that work out for you? Thanks to you or anyone else who would care to comment on my situation, I would appreciate any help I can get ... I hate the run flats!

This is the kit you are looking for. I have a spare tire on mine too...

the spare definitely works better than the slime kit IMHO and dont have to take up so much room compared to a full size

After I ditched the OEM RFTs and switched to non-RFT Michelin PSSs, I bought a compact spare through my local LKQ used parts retailer ($100). Then, I ordered a used jack via LKQ online ($45.11) and bought the lug wrench ($18 including tax) at my local BMW parts dealer. Didn't need any of the other accessories (i.e. tire block, tire tray, warning triangle, etc.). In total, I spent $163 after buying everything separately.

The 135/80R-17 compact spare I got was from a 2006 E60 545i.
The jack I got was from a 2001 330i E46.

Was put to good use back in 2015 when the right rear tire went flat.

Tire plug kit $5
Tire pump $30
Total = $35
This takes up barely any room in my car. I've used this same kit in all of my cars since 2005 and its never not worked. They both have worked great for 12 years! Never let me down once. Worst case scenario I have to get me car towed to the closest shop, but that's paid for with roadside assistance through my insurance though I've never needed it for a tire.

Jat335i:
What was the size you ordered for the donut from LKQ? I'm thinking of doing the same thing.

I suggest you go back and re-read that post, it clearly states 135/80R-17 (unless you were talking about an earlier post).

Any idea if a spare from a 2008 528xi will fit the 335is? It has the same 135/80R17 wheel size so I don't see why not.

Yes, the E60 spare is what is recommended for the E9x.
