are you saying the wheel doesnt press against the hub on your car?

i'll investigate this tomorrow as i'm going to be putting new wheels on, but i'm not sure what you are referring to. a spacer would only move the same mating surface out further. I have a set of 15mm spacers for my old summer wheels and literally, its the face of the hub extended 15mm, there's nothing that would allow more contact with the hub face.the rim would bottom against the caliper if anything. the chamfer on the front and rear wheels is the same.

yeah, i know it doesn't make much sense. i'll re-do the install today and see if i i can confirm my findings. hopefully not.

are you talking about the space you can see around the lug holes?

thats normal, the lugs have a tapered head and the wheel is stamped to accomodate that.

NeilQ;

Did the test fit on the front? I'm assuming the sport package on the 328i has the same brake caliber dimensions as the 335i sport. (Hoping any way. ) Would be confirmation that the kit will fit my car.........and I can order without stressing.

I'd still love to know whether this wheel will work on an E9X M3, perhaps with a spacer. If anyone has access to one of these wheels and to an M3 and wouldn't mind doing a bit of detective work, I'd really appreciate it.

the 328i has smaller brakes than the 335i, sport package doesnt affect the brake system spec.

WhoMe?!, I think that means that if it will fit the 335, it will fit the 328, as the 335 has larger brakes

exactly, the issue is brake clearance. the 328i should have no problems

Many thanks Orient335iNYC!

I've been looking for a compact spare for months. Leatherz has been out of stock and their prices seem too high. I just ordered the kit form Tischer. Once I get it, I'll replace my RFT's with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's (245/45/17 & 255/40/17).

Just to be clear, this kit will work on most E90's, front or rear, with no spacers or long lug nuts, right?

Thanks again.

I have the 2008 335i Coupe with Sport Package. I do not recall confirmation in this thread that anyone has test fit the kit on the front of 335i /w Sport Package. (Test fit done on the rear only.)
I'm just confused. :P

If anyone has test fit the spare on the front rotor, I would appreciate if you could let me know.

In other words......it fits the 335i series.

Time to place the order......just in time to make the border for the Christmas rush of packages.

Thanks for the ALL the information....I'm more educated re my motorcycle than my car. (Newbie.)

I placed my order to get this response a few hours later:

"Hello and thank you for your order. Since these wheels have such little mark-up from BMW, we can only discount them to 275.00."

They could not sell at the $239.21 listed on the web site. That, plus $90 shipping costs to CANADA, plus exchange rate of nearly 20%, plus duty....I'm looking at an estimated $450+ CAD.

I figure I'll try BMW directly here in Vancouver to determine the costs.

I am going to have to tag along with GemBM on this one. I know this thread is in the 3 Series forum but hey, it's a shot in the dark and I hope it does.

Ah man, me too. Won't be able to fit the two suitcases. Dammit why didn't they at least leave a well under the trunk?

I farking hate RFTs. And I've had a tire shred so bad 150 miles from nowhere that RFTs wouldn't have done squat. It was bad enough limping into the next town at 50mph on the spare.

Guess I'll have to just pray that I don't repeat that experience.
