^^^I love the black/black rim look. Im certainly contemplating placing either 20s or 22s on my 6er. Since I live in the state of FL, im thinking 22s.

Yeah man, I have a place out in Far Rockaway so I am quite familar with the amount of potholes in NYC. You would think with the amount of taxes and the way that they charge you for every little thing, the roads would be much better up there. lol

My newly tinted 6.50i...what do you think?

Ok..its not the new 6 series, but I LOVE this car. Just got it tinted with this service that comes to your house here in SD, Detail Wiz (http://detailwiz.com). Anyway...I spent a pretty decent amount on the tint since it's a ceramic. What do you all think about it? (honest feedback).

Never heard of ceramic tint and I am in the sun belt in FL. Mine is llumar titanium; supposedly the best for heat and UV reflection without being mirrored (at least as of 2010 when I bought my car). I LOVE it; definitely worth the modest investment!

As for your first sentence, perhaps you are better off without the new 6 . I bought my car new in '10 and it currently has 4,401 miles. (I may not drive it a LOT, but I LOVE IT when I DO drive it!!) I went to the dealer in January to test the new '12 650i vert. Compared to mine, I actually liked nothing about the new one better than mine (okay, except for the stock wheels.... perhaps.) I liked the body lines and styling, body size and stance, seats, handling and performance better on my 2010 than the 2012. Sorry, BMW, but the restyled 650 (IMHO) is a misfire; too much like a bloated 3-series in styling and less than impressive interior comfort, performance oomph and handling compared to mine. Glad to keep my '10 over owning a '12

Just got my tint done too. This weekend has been absolutely amazing in SoCal. Decided to cruise down to the Marina Del Rey area yesterday & take a couple shots.

Hey, look at the brighter side.....you can purchase an M6 Front Fascia and upgrade the hood with the insurance money (if you should choose to go that route).

Hello guys! My fiance just received her car last Monday (5/14/12); delivered from Atlanta! 15 percent tint was applied the next day! The wheels and springs actually arrived a few weeks before the car got here. I thoroughly detailed and touched up the wheels, in preparation for the car. I installed the H&R lowering springs, painted the brakes and installed the wheels on Friday (5/19/12). This is how the car looks now. She is lovin' it, haha!

Hey Edgar, the CV3 wheels look really sharp. 22's right? You haven't put springs on your 6 from what I can tell, any plans for that? What is the ride like with 25 series tires??

WOW, I am honored Bimmmer GODs!!!

If feels great to be in the "fold" again. I once was a 87' 325 owner. I loved that car! Accident bent the frame, sold it for parts.

Now I'm BACK after going through hell in life and stupid decisions. I am Soldier in the Army currently in Kuwait coming home JULY 3rd! I purchased online from Dallas Roster in Texas a 2007 650i Converable. Metallic/Titanium Silver, Green/Olive Green Roof, Creame Biege Dakota Leather and nice brown wood trim, 19'' run flat tires, 48500 miles for $32k.

As I write the car is at the dealership where "Tom" is working on a pre-purchase inspection and fixing somethings as listed:

Trust Arm Bushings Left and Right side
Bent rims
Alignment and Balance
New Tires..Contential DWS...NOT RUN FLATS
Radiator Mount
Convertible drane plugs cleaned
RECALL for Battery Grounding
New Battery(OEM)...Aftermarket was already installed
Front brakes and sensors
Sway Bar----Vent valve for active steering has leak..HOLDS ONE GALLON OF FLUID

OK, "Tom" expected me to "roll over" and take what he was giving me as "NEEDS TO BE FIXED NOW". I have my brother boots on ground taking care of all matters and I am in contact with "Tom" via email and calling him to ensure all is good.

He put the car key on the computer and all systems came back good. All the things listed above are "visual" things found. Yes, he is a sales man giving "peace of mind", which is cool. But to replace things that dont need it, or to purchase a $500 OEM battery....."Sorry Charley". I understand that we are Bimmer Owners Ladies and Gentlemen, but we have to be smart in cost and aftermarket parts to MAJOR COMPONENTS OF OUR BABIES. I have been researching batteries....I am inclined to keep my aftermarket one, then when I get back, we what is what along with the knowledge I am gaining. Your thoughts on the battery issue please? All the other stuff that needs to be fixed I think is ware on a five year old car that still has to be broken in. I CANT WAIT TO OPEN IT UP ON THE HIGHWAY FROM MD TO GA WHEN I GET BACK!

Sooooooo...please Bimmer GODs, give me more pointers on maintenance as I keep "Douglas"(in honor of a friend that was in a foster home with me many yrs ago, but now dead.) on point and running SMOOTH.

I STARE AT PICKS OF MY CAR AT NIGHT.....YA'LL JUST DONT KNOW HOW EXCITED I AM TO BE 6 SERIES OWNER.....TIME TO RIDE IN CLASS AND STYLE WITH A SMILE...BECAUSE I HAVE EARNED AND DESERVE IT!

MAJ,

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your new purchase. I am also in the same predicament as yourself, however currently deployed in AFG as a contractor. I purchased my vehicle during my previous R&R and only had 2 days to actually drive it. This is my first Bimmer and I can only say that you are in for a treat with the 6 series....its a beast!
