I think it'll haul way more groceries, soccer balls, and bulk purchases from Sam's Club than my BMW.

The scenario setting was choose quite well. A station wagon, family oriented and with a nice and quiet area surrounding the car.

Not bad, not bad.

The touring DOES look better than the sedan, even before the facelift.

By the way, you can configure the 2009s on the Deutschland site already. Did my 330iT yesterday, came out to €42.235, 19% not inclusive. I think the new cloth pattern is cool, but the blinged out knobs stick out like a sore thumb.

Everyone here is biased to some degree. But not everyone is foolish enough to make the kind of statement that you quoted.

Thanks for that Darwin award winning opinion.

Spoken like a true lemming.............

Sedans and to a lesser degree coupes are a dime a dozen - see them all over the place.

Tourings are rare, and regardless of your insightful wit - many others consider them the best looking of the 3 series.

Not to mention huge functionality, panorama moonroof, all the handling attributes of the other 3's.

I'll be ordering one because it's not a station wagon, it's a sports wagon made for touring

I'm glad I got mine in 08 because the lines looked a little more aggressive than the 09. It looks a bit more like a 5 series touring, kind of puffy.

We took Euro Delivery last month of our black on black six speed stick beauty and can't wait for it to arrive at Port Hueneme around the 17th.

Not looking forward to the wait for customs to be done with it.

Anyone got a tip to see our ship Noble Ace going thru the Panama Canal? I've heard there are some live web cams and such.

Still no 335it in US, though... Sigh...

There were rumors that BMWNA would bring the touring (wagon) into the U.S. with the 335 engine, but those rumors have been recently very quiet. I would love a touring but want the 335 engine. Until then, I'm sticking with my Audi.

the inline 4? or the mediocre V6? or are you talking about the S4?

Anyway, BMW still offers the only RWD sports wagon. If you need AWD, that's a different story.

Nope,
Just 328i, or in xDrive fashion.

Anyone know if the Noble Ace made it into Port Hueneme yesterday as scheduled? I'm also wondering how long it'll take for my Euro Delivery E91 to get through customs.

I for one, prefer the station wagon version of the 5's and 3's over the sedans. They have a better looking rear end.

If everybody buys a station wagon instead of a Suburban, we would not be in some other people's country duking it out with crazy fundamentalists right now.

Amen.

Like the lack of choice for the M-sport option, we have our prescient USA dealers' cabal to thank for the lack of the E91 335. And the absence of the 4 cyl diesels. I pleaded with the powers that be a couple years ago to consider bringing in the 320d on the logic that it would be a marketing coup to advert a BMW that gets 50 mpg. But no, the dealers claimed they could not sell such a thing, BMWs are luxury cars...

I guess we should be thankful for the 335d and the E90 M at least.

If no damages - 1-2 weeks. Take 4 weeks in my case. But this is call - hijacking thread!

Peter's (Rolf's colleague) 320d wagon did not have any problems with 130mph on the Autobahn. Rolf's personal 320d had this nifty engine shut off feature when he stops at a light.
