This customer does not have a baseline on this dyno.

Yeah- anything not done by bms is useless or crap I really cannot stand how you criticize anything that is not BMS. Not to mention that you post your dyno's on other peoples posts. It really is tiresome.

_________

Romen- thanks for sharing. Mustang dyno's are pretty damn conservative and 317 looks really good. I wonder what the numbers would look like on 93 octane...

Wooooooah there. I don't mean to speak for Palantirion or anything. But I think what he meant was that these results are "useless" because without a stock baseline, there is no way to know what the effect of the ESS software and RPI scoop is on this car, on this dynamometer.

Correct me if needed Palantirion.

-Exactly. I'm a big fan of both RPI and ESS. They make good quality products.

Not that anyone here (except Roman) would know, but I went well out of my way to create a comparison dyno graph of ESS's E39 M5 supercharger kit for a thread of Roman's over on m5board. I did this unasked, and BMS does not sell ESS products. I simply wanted to support a good company, because there are so many that aren't and it's difficult for those not "inside" the business to tell the difference.

I agree 150% total useless info without a baseline. Lots of dyno charts but no track times or any kind of real world comparisons on this forum.

Just info nothing was implied by it other then sharing. Nowhere did I say that the car gained X amount of HP by any mod. I think Earl has posted enough info on gains from these mods for anyone that is interested. And to pals comment about track times if you read Earls review from his past track event he did post times before and after mods I believe and also spoke about the effects these mods have had on the track. When it comes to info on these specific mods Planatirion would be your best resource.

-Actually, I still have to write my review of the ESS software, based in part from my last track day at Willow. I'm going to try to get it done tonight...

Spent ALL of yesterday driving around to Willow and Buttonwillow, to take pics of the Gumball 3000 cars. Got back at 11 last night, still behind on my work.

Cant wait to see the pics

I have not seen many NA Z4M's break 300HP on any dyno so I thought it was cool when I received this dyno. I did not feel that it was useless information im sorry if some of you do. My car in its NA days maxed out at 192 on 91 octane. I tried several times on different dynos to break 300 and could never do it unless I ran 98.

There sure does seem to be lots of complaints about information sharing and how it is done on this forum. Some people here are just never happy I think im gonna take a break from posting here and spend some time on some of my other fav boards.....

take care guys

Got my ESS review up: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=303964

p.s. Roman, I'm sorry I said "useless". It's still a cool post, just not useful in using as a comparison to stock. I hadn't thought of it as a benchmark run in itself.

When you do come back can you post some of your 1/4 mile track times so we can see how useable your power is as well as videos and timeslips. Can you also post up some videos of runs against real contenders instead of dyno graphs and pictures of other cars. Thanks!

What would be nice if the ignored could not post in a post that the ignorer started.

Sure the baseline dyno would have been more helpful, but my first thought was...Holy Crap 300+ on a mustang dyno!! Maybe on a Dynojet, but a mustang dyno these a great numbers even with out the baseline!! To clarify, are there mufflers with straight pipe back to the primary cats (ie. no secondary cats and no resonator) or actual straight pipe with no muffler straight back to primary cats?

I am assuming stock headers and primary cats are still on the car correct? This is exciting for me since I am considering eliminating my secondary cats leaving me with Supersprint sport mufflers, x-pipe straight back to primaries.

Let me add that I was at the track with Palantirion@BMS and he had nothing but good things to say about ESS. In fact, when I told him I was going to delete my secondary cats he recommended getting the ESS.

The dyno was almost guaranteed to be in shootout mode or w/e where it outputs similar to dynojet numbers. No way its 317hp as a standard mustang dyno.

-LOL, I didn't "recommend" ESS, I told you you HAD to get ESS software if you ditch the cats

Otherwise your power curve will look like the purple line (pre-ESS) over on my ESS review thread instead of the red line (post-ESS)

Yes that was definitely more accurate to your statement!!
