Roll Out of ALMS E92 M3

Looks like the first run of the new ALMS M3 happened recently.

Is Rahal still going to run the cars in ALMS? I see they are running an Aston Martin in Speed World Challenge GT for a limited number of races this year. Is that a precursor of an Aston effort next year instead of BMW? Or maybe they're just running a few races to keep their hand in...anyone know the story?

Probably the latter, but it is weird that the car is still being tested in Europe by BMW/Schnitzer Motorsport. I assume when RLR receive the cars and start racing, it'll be a lot like a works effort without actually being one. Or maybe the Schnitzer guys wanna come over and race too, just like in 2001? I wouldn't be surprised to see a Schnitzer car alongside one or two RLR cars.

I think that they said that the development would be carried out by Joerg Mueller and Agusto Farfus with Schnitzer, so it's not so surprising really. They haven't implied that Schnitzer would also run a car here in addition to RLR. It will be interesting to see what develops.

Hmmm camouflage on a race car on an open test day? Probably has some interesting aero details going on. The openings on the quater panels are new, I assume they are for rear brakes cooling.
