i see that there is a new f10 section. when will it be comming out. and does it look as sexy as the e39?

i think bmw is loseing touch on the euro look. i don't like it.

It is prob the pics, but that thing looks fat... As in porky..... But mysteriously in a good way..... Iwould drive that thing... Looks very elegant... jmho...

I really dont see how this is MUCH better than the E60. The lines are very similar and the only thing that is significantly different is the tail lights. The front fascia resembles the E60 as well as the side profile. Not too much change from what I can see

I dont know i just hate the e60, its just nice to see its different, your probably right.

Agreed. Still looks like the e60, thought it looks like they toned it down and took a step back toward the conservative side.

Also looks like they're taking the Celis tails away again, only to possibly reintroduce them during the mid-cycle model refresh like they did with the e60.

it sorta looks like a 3 series on steriods, to me.

Less ugly than the e60 by a long shot, but still a bit chunky and not as good looking as the e39. I think some decent rims would go a long way (they certainly have on the e60's I've seen).

Now if we could just get a 535d touring with a manual....

Looks much better than the E60. Also related, the new 3 series sedan looks more like the coupe and therefore looks much better than the old 3 series sedan.

Exactly. They are toning down the styling. I think the jump from the E39 to the E60 was too radical, and probably a lot of potential buyers agree, so it's a step back.

Think about it - some of us in here might have otherwise traded our E39s in for the new model by now. I mean, our newest E39s are 5 years old, but we're hanging on to 'em.

THANK YOU! the FIRST thing i thought of when i saw the rear of the new 5'er..i thought of the hyundai sonata rear tail lights. UGH. not a good look for bmw. and for the person who said they're losing their 'euroness'...i agree. they're starting to look like fing hyundais for christs sake!

the only 5'ers ive automatically liked..and have consistently liked are the e28s, e39s (ftw!), and e60s. i havent had a click with the others. maybe the new one will grow on me..just like the new 7'er? but thats a whole different ball park.

Maybe you could compare it to the hyndia but def no the honda. Just because the lights are red on top and white in the bottom dont make them look alike...
I used to not like the E60, but it grew on me BIG time and now i love it. I was really close on buying one also. but the deal fell through...

I think what makes that new 5 look a little different is the fact that it has lights on the trunk. E39s and E60s only have them on the outside body part.

Me too -- a few days ago, I parked my car going to work, and there was a black 550i sitting nearby, and with the rims it had, it just looked......right, somehow. I like the interior too, even if it's really hard for me to get into.

I'm with you Mack. I think the E60 has great styling however like some stated, it might have been to much of a chance for some people.

Hello sweet lover! She looks pretty sexy all dressed up ;-) . I'd definitely say the E60's grown on me to the point of salivation over the past two or so years. I get nothing but boo's and hisses on the 7 boards for deciding to trade in my 760i for a new 550i.

I can't wait to see what the new 5 looks like with an aero kit.
