new f10

The Hyundai tail lights were the first thing that came on my mind too. But how accurate are those F10 shots? I've seen some which look significantly different on the web. Most of them say "impressions" so all might be quite off the real thing. The spy shots I saw (e.g. here http://www.funferteambenelux.be/index.php?page=50) don't seem to definitely suggest any if the "impressions"; on the contrary - some look very different to me. So, maybe it's still early to tell.

About the E60 - what bugs me most is how the lower tail lights edge follows the roof line when looking from the side - it gives me the impression that the trunk lid with the tail lights are disconnected from the car. Another thing I don't like is single exhausts (although I have one on my rear; my car that is). I like them symmetric or hidden altogether. Maybe they did it on purpose so regular 5-er drivers will get miserable every time they see the back end of an M5.

Maybe the tail lights will look better in person. Seems like every car bmw is manufacturing is taking some growing into........

No doubt I will love the E30s E39s E36s

I mean when I looked at the E60s for the first time, I wasn't too happy with the overall look of it. After time however I slowly started to fall for them (maybe it was just the 2007-2008 LED led upgrade they did to the rear tails?) But now looking at the brand spanking new F10, GAH. NO. I like the 1-series over this unusually bad looking jap rear ended car...

Come on guys. These pics are photoshopped up the @$$. You can't tell me that you actually believe these are real? Get real now

I've yet to see a BMW i didn't like.... I think that f10 is sharp. It's like saying Cindy Crawford is not that good looking.. WHAT???

The rear end looks very cheap and Japanese. For some reason my first thought ran to Toyota Avalon -- but Sonata works too. I do like the styling of the front end in that pic.

But, as others have pointed out, these pics are not necessarily representative of the final design. I actually saw a different mock-up with the rear-end and tail-lights inspired by the 3 series coupe and it looked stunning.....so hopefully they will go in a different direction from these pics.

The E60 has grown on me -- but unlike the E39 (which I believe looks good in just about all trim packages) the E60 needs to be all dolled-up for me to get excited about it (aero package -- 18'' + wheels).

I pretty much agree with ya on that Zilla.

Maybe this was just an intentionally leaked photo...part of a study group thing... like when they run a new movie for a test audience. There could be some BMW employee reading all this right now, taking notes.

In that case:

"HEY, Fritz, this car it looks like ****z!! Better whip up a new batch of modeling clay!"

I don't really like it tail lights exact copy of GS....... what happened to BMW I don't know

LOL now that may be the most accurate excuse I've heard yet. To be 100% honest I do like the E39 a little better. But yeah the E60 550 and/or M5's DO look sweet with just a few mods. I truly believe though that the E39 specifically the M5 and 2003 540 M-Sport will go down in history as some of the sweetest sport sedans of all time.

So I did, I can afford new E60 but not going to buy it now because don't really like it.

It's odd that they have scratched the 528 and just called it a 525. I guess it's a cleaner number on the badge / increments of 50?

I'm loving the biturbo option though - these things should be fun to drive "535i/xi, 3.0 liters biturbo, 306 ps; 540i, 4.8 liters, V8, 367 ps; 550i/xi, 4.4 liters V8 biturbo"

I had an E39 and i loved every moment of it and i never liked the E60, and i had a good deal on a E66 so i went for it unfortunetly nothing feels or drives like a 7er and i had to lemon it and i went for the E60 535i which is amazing in driving, handling and performance i just missed the Li feeling.

I didn't see that much difference than the E60s except for the taillights. I would prefer the taillights on the current E60s, with the white bar on top. If they put the white bar on the bottom, they would make it too common.

There got to be something else to encourage people to pay the extra for the F10s, not only a newer model.

F10 is FUGLY no doube... and i must say even me too the e60 s have grown on me. just some nice tints and 18" wheels make them enjoyable. the e60 550 or m5 however is gorgeous out of the factory. BUT Ill stay true to our beloved e39. i have to say that when i parked next to a 545i in a parking lot the other day... ( both black and tinted) my car simply looked more like BMW

The front fascia is actually quite....ugly. The two vertical lines coming down from the hood between the headlights and the grill sorta cut the front into three visually distinctive pieces. The currently smooth and clean look of the front bumper is ruined. Reminds me of the current Audi A4 or A6, with their grotesque "big mouth" fascia.

Oh and I agree with the Hyundai taillight too....

The e39 is definately a nice design and it still looks really pretty good, but you have to admit that the e39 is really starting to show it's age. The e39 M5 no longer turns my head. A nice car, but out with the old and in with the new.

there maybe some truth to it but not always. when i went car shopping it was specifically for a 2003 M-Sport 540 6spd. there were e60s in the same ballpark at the dealer. CPO, 2005 530s with autotragics.
