2002

ive always liked the look of them. they're pretty sweet looking. i ran across this one, yes it has a lot of miles..but its still easy on the eyes. i randomly had a thought of selling my e30 and buying this one or one similar to it. some guy offered me 4k for my e30 and i couldnt part with it cause i had it for like a month or two when he asked. so thats a rough estimate of what mine will go for..and the rest of the money would go towards restoring it, or upgrading it. i doubt ill buy it, but its always a thought

Thing about the 2002's is rust. They rust like mad. That's what you need to look out for.

yeah ive done some research on them. that was the main thing to look for. if it does have any rust (depending on how bad), i wont even bother. i heard its a b*tch and a half to fix it.

haah oh geez. i bet you didnt get the full experience of driving driving it. on that note, have you ever driven an '02 before? i know its probably going to be nothing like an e30..but input would be nice. the only bmw ive driven is a, well..e30. i drove my friends e46 330i dinan 3 like.. 10 feet. haha, just out of his garage. mmm dinan exhaust sounds realllllll good.

They're nimble and quick. The one I drove anyway. Steering was tight and responsive. It had been converted to a 5 speed. So I'm not sure about the 4 speed in the one you're looking at. I bet it'll scream on the freeway.

I wouldn't part with an E30 for a 2002. But if I had the money laying around I would get it in a heartbeat. Amazing little cars and VERY fun to drive. They are sleepers too, cause they are pretty darn quick. They are super easy to work on. A friend and I did a full rebuild on a 74 2002. Everything is easy to get to. Swapping parts under the car is hard cause they are all rusted on. It took 2 days for us to get the driveshaft off.

thats a good response. better than what i was expecting. always a good thing. hah, yeah. a 5sp would be nice. but i sent the person an email asking for more info and pictures. ill post them here when i get em.

yeah, a few people ive talked to (and read about) said that they'd rather keep an e30 than a 2002. i just think the style is way sick and classic. i love them. ha, throw an m20 in it.

oh i know, that is why i brought it up. well, you sparked the thought of it with the whole 5 speed thing lol. it would flyyyy. it seems really light.

I would never sell an e30 for a 2002. lol who would want to do that, the e30 is faster, more power, more fun to drive and looks much better than the 2002, b/c 2002 looks very gayyyyyyy and retarded. Even if i got an offer to get 2002 for free I would not even get it, b/c it ant worth the spot in my driveway. Plus its like 30+ years old. Thats just me thou

some guy offered you 4g's for your car and you didnt jump on that ? you should pass the dooby before you skip out on a great deal again.

back when my e30 was relatively stock i would have neve turned down 4k for it. idk y he would turn that down. as for the 2002 .. i would never buy one. i respect all bmw's but i would never drive a 2002

i love 2002s. i dont NEED to go fast. just as long as it gets me up to the speed limit within reason. ive always liked the looks of the '02s and always will.

ha. well i would have IF there was another car i wanted for that price. trust me, i was searching. but no one was selling a decent (mine was always in better condition) e30 or an e36 325/8is.
