Bilstein PSS9 Coilover group buy + Stoptech.

The price would be $1150 shipped per person if no one joins in the group buy, or around $1025-1050 shipped if we have 10 people. The more people we get, the larger discount. I can probably get it to the $1000 shipped marked if we have 20 or more people in this.

I can also work out something on Stoptech brakes and possibly Brembo.

330iGT, you may get more people interested if you also include none PSS-9 setups. Also installation is free at any up-coming public TechSession in So Cal.

I can also obtain PSS's if anyone is interested in them.
The PSS + PSS9's will be within the same group buy, but different prices. So If we have 5 interested in the pss9's and 5 in the pss's, then we can still get a GB price.

P.S. I can also get them for almost any other make/model, with a similar price to the non-GB price. Such as Audi's, VW ect.

Re: Bilstein PSS9 Coilover group buy + Stoptech.

Hey 330iGT,

I organized a StopTech groupbuy a while back. Mike Weiss and Bob Lee of StopTech helped me out together with a local dealer in OC. GB lasted for a few weeks. Tons of interested parties, but i the end, no one signed up. Believe me the pricing was great, but the hurdle was trying to fit the big calipers behind the wheels. Most people didn't want to trade for wheels just to fit the calipers.

In any case, good luck!

I'm interested. What's the difference between the two though since I've read lots of recommendations for the KWs?

I was browsing around researching the difference between pss9s and kw v2s. According to this thread, the pss9s have fitment issues with 330s? Any truth to that? What're these issues they're talking about?

I think they are talking about the first couple of batches that didn't have some sort of washer, that made the shock come out of its place after the install. This was quickly resolved by bilstein.

I have the same set that I am selling you guys, and have not had any fitment issues. I've driven the car pretty darn hard and not a squeak.

The main difference is that the KW's let you drop the car to have that "-slammed-to-the-ground-effect"
I have my suspension set halfway, and there is less than .5" all around. I can't imagine why anyone would want to drop it totally on a street car. IMO, the PSS9's also have a much better ride quality, and the only set you can adjust(dampening) just getting under the car and turning a nob.

P.S. If you guys can't wait for a TechSession, I have a shop that will install it on average 50% less than "the other guy"

P.S.S. I will be out of town from mid-july to the begining of August. If you guys have any questions, please contact me before that.

So is this a fairly okay DIY project? If so I might be interested! (doesnt seem too bad from this link). But i don't have access to a spring compressor... I might need to drop my car a little for the SSR Comp 18's, and this is a good price.

The different between the PSS and PSS9 is the 9 adjustable settings right?

Andrew,
That's correct, the PSS9s have an adjustable dampening on the shock. IMO, it's a must have because if your area has some rough roads, you can simply change the setting to a setting you prefer.

If you know what you're doing and are somewhat mechanical oriented, with the right tools, shouldn't be too hard. You can rent out spring compressors from certain stores as well.

do they have that at AutoZone? They rent tools out for free, I rented a slide hammer to pull out CV axles one time... very nice!
