TopGear posts some X3 info...

Saw this short article on TopGear today describing the X3:

It will be interesting to see how this vehicle sells... I'm not sure I understand who the target audience is.

That's what I've felt about the Lexus 330, and those two weird vehicles by Infiniti and Nissan. When I went looking for a new SUV to replace my trusty old 4Runner, I at first thought that at 36, I'd become too old and square to buy one. The 330 and the other two look like space-mobiles to me - must be intended at a much younger and hipper audience.

I love the look of my X5, but it is a personal preference - if someone else loves those other vehicles (and the new X3) then great for them. I'm just not going to buy one.

Gotta love the marketing pics-- showing the X3 offroad. Without low range--- please. I guess showing it in front of Walmart or Starbucks isn't as appealing.

Call me whatever you want to, but with all that lower black trim painted to match the body color, I'd love it. I predict we'll have one in the family within the next year or two.

The X3 is going to be cheaper than the X5 and roughly the same size (at least until they beef up the X5). Do I really want to drop 45-50K on an X5. Nope. Give me the 5 series. Would I drop 35K on an X3? Well, now we're talking.

I think the interior looks really good, but the exterior isn't too great
