Smile Blower Resistor

Does anyone know where the blower resistor is located on an 04 E60? My ac is acting funny and i think it might be that resistor.

max ac problem

wanted to share my exprience, may help you:
My max ac button was not operating fan at high
speed as it should. It was intermittemnt.
My research showed that 2 problems are possible:
1. blower resistor, which in 2005 e60 is a difficult to access
and dealer charges approx 800 for it
2. battery:
Scenario is: max button does not give full fan, but defrost does.
This is becos under weak battery condition, power-management system
prevents max fan from max button, but allows max fan from defrost since
that is safety related. This was my case:
I had battery changed at dealer, and now it works as before.
If your battery is close to 4 years old, I would recommend change anyway
for a car like this, full of electronics
Hope this helps, let us know
