I am really quite pleased with my profession: (computer programmer & geographic information systems expert).

I'm able to work on a really diverse array of projects and it affords me plenty of intellectual and artistic challenges. The $$s are pretty good also.

The one downside is that it is a physically stagnant career choice- stuck in the office in front of a computer most of the time. A sports/outdoor hobby is a must.
