HK stereo (coupe) wiring help

I am studying the electrical diagrams to get ready and add a JL Amp. 4 channel 2 front 2 rear.

I believe that the pinout for the low level drive signals coming from the radio to the HK amp input is as follows:

VL +1,-17
VR +2, -14
HL +3, -4
HR +6, -1

I would use these terminated in RCA connectors for the JL amp inputs.

which should be left and right front and left and right rear.

If this is correct?

And which is front V or H?

second question is the subwoofer a dual coil job? hence the two woofers shown in the diagram, speakers H57 and H52? But they are called left and right? both part of H500 rear woofer.

This may not answer your question directly but...

There is an article on the MZ3.net by Robert Leidy that identifies the HK wiring going into the HK AMP.

Pin
14 RF- IN blue/brown (I interpret to Right Front amp input NEG)
15 RF+ IN brown/black (I interpret to Right Front amp input POS)
16 LF+ IN yellow/red (I interpret to Left Front amp input NEG)
17 LF- IN yellow/brown (I interpret to Left Front amp input POS)

1 RB- IN blue/gray
2 RB+ IN blue/purple
3 LB+ IN blue/black
4 LB- IN yellow/brown

I will be checking out the wiring colors tonight on my amp, but these may match the unidentified twisted pairs I have yet to identfy.

If this is German, V = vor = front, H = hinter = back.

Great information as usual Carrie!!!

I would assume that Robert's wiring diagram matches the diagram JonM supplied Bob.

Pins 1 - 4 Back Channels

Pins 14 - 17 Front Channels

Now I am confident the colors will match the wiring harness.

So did they match up? I am about half way on my install, and the above listed channels are the ones that I tapped with a line out converter. I have yet to set up the amp though...
