Upgrading Halo Lights on 2006 Z4

Have any of you guys done this and is it an easy DIY thing? If so where can I get the upgrade. Not to happy with the ones on the lights now, not very bright at all.

Curious myself. Have wanted to do this upgrade for quite some time now. Lets keep it near the top.

Upgrading Halo Lights on 2006 Z4

I bought a halo kit, started baking/prying/cutting the headlights open. Gave up partway through the first one and sealed everything back up.

It can be done... I did it on my other car, but the Hella headlight units are "hella pita" to pull apart.

If you really really want to do it, google "baking headlights" and you'll find forums for every car under the sun, but my plan, and my recommendation now to anyone looking to do this, is to list your oem units for sale, and buy a sweet new aftermarket set plug and play. You might not want to spend the money, but would you spend a little bit to be out getting looks instead of gnashing your teeth in the garage and risking messing stuff up?? At this point, I would.

Tekarbon is the route I went. Shipped my headlights out to California to have it done. HUGE difference in the car. Bigger difference than anything else I've done cosmetically.
