E28 518i (M10) idle control valve

Hello guys

i want to ask if the icv in the e28 518i (motor M10) is electrical or mechanical. I' m a little bit confused about this issue. Some people say that the valve is electrical and some other that the valve is mechanical. Could you pls help me to decide?

In mobile tradition it shows the valve (item 11) with an electric plug (item 21) in the back so it looks like it is electric. But it has a mechanical component so that's probably the reason for the confussion as it is actually a combination mechanical/electric.
