Thanks, just sold them to a gentleman in MN.

Wheels were Privat Akzents (aka BBS LM replicas, essentially.)

Front: 19x8.5 ET 35
Rear: 19x9.5 ET 35 (which is a tad too much BTW)

Great shots MalibuMafiaV; your car must be a blast on that stretch of PCH (especially if on a day or time when you can avoid 30 mph RVs).

Oh man! it is a wonderful road. I like going from Cambria all the way to the bridge. The part along the cliffs next to the water is awesome. Next time I head up there you should meet up with me and a few of my other friends and cruise with us from Carmel to bixpy.

Finally got Angel Eyes - Orion V2 Opaque

Right now I've got them powered directly by the LCM. According to my multimeter they only draw about 0.4A, which is what the pins I'm using are meant to supply (city light pins). I've got the LCM coded to use them as DRLs too. Main advantage to this instead of wiring it up directly to a switched power source is that A) the wiring is a little cleaner, and B) when parked, the turn signal stalk can be used to illuminate one side (like the new BMWs)

In the (near) future, I plan to wire up a rheostat that's triggered by the low beams, so that the angel eyes dim a little when the low-beams turn on.

It's been a while since I've seen the standard ones in person, but IIRC the gaps were more apparent. Not sure if it was worth the $20 extra, but at least I got free shipping

Yeah, I'll have to search for some pictures. The only thing that bothers me is that on the FL coupe, if they were to do a special run of opaque AE's that'd fit, I'd be concerned with the reliability of first run/limited run product (and with having to bake our headlights open, I really don't want to risk that).

Well, I'm pretty sure the electrical bits are the same as any other Orion V2 - it seems like the actual glass/plastic cover over the LEDs is the difference. I doubt there'll be a reliability difference

Hi all,

I just picked up my first E46 the other day after a affair with a Itallian toy. My last post on Bimmerfest was January when I had a E36 coupe and I must say I am really pleased with my latest purchase. I just got her so the pic's are not great, i'll post more once I get it cleaned up and touched up!

It was great when i was just up there... There are a lot of cyclists training up there right now and so its pretty dangerous to do "recreational driving" up there lol. Yeah the road had washed out but they have since repaired it and did some repaving. amazing drive

After much searching and second guessing, I went ahead with the Bimmian M3 gauge face install.

It was much easier than I thought with no problem re-calibrating the needles using the DIY from Bimmian.

A nice classy touch that is easy on the eyes while driving and with red needles makes seeing the gauge status very easy and immediate.

Thank you sir. The Dynavin was some $700 or so. You'll need to add a HVAC relocation kit to that, which is another $100, give or take.

Depending on what you're looking to get out of it; Yes, worth it 100%. If you are looking for reviews, it doesn't take much of a search to find days of reading material on it.

For now though, the main things I like about it are:
- NAV (no longer a Garmin in my window that A) looks bad B) is displayed to potential theifs)
- iPod intergration (sure, other things do it too, but this one is a whole package that has it as well!)
- DVD player (used more than one would think in a non-family car )
- OEM look versus pretty much any other aftermarket setup
