Sure, I paid 3500 for it. I'll probably try fixing the sunroof myself but as for the oil leak I may fork over some cash to have that fixed. I've found a nice link on here on how to fix the leak, maybe I'll give it a shot first myself. I love the car. Its my first bmw and am already looking forward to a newer one.

I've had her for about a week. I flew out to Denver to pick her up and used the 9 hour drive back to get to know her.

Yeah these are very loveable cars.

I guess my car is probably worth < 3K (since it's not an xi and it's the base model) and yet I have spent more than that in the last 6 months fixing it (tires, front/rear struts/shocks, inspection, etc.).

My car rolled off the assembly line and the engine was started for the first time 10 years ago today (http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...5&postcount=57). Some new M3 Shadowline window trim is sitting in a FedEx warehouse here in town someplace along with new door seals. That stuff will be installed sometime this week. Here's a photo from yesterday's autoX.

It sure was. It's a rare day at Marina when you can wear shirtsleeves and be comfortable (or we could until lunch, anyway). Congrats on your 3rd place finish behind 2 guys that are impossibly fast. I even managed to get past an E36M3 or 2 to finish in the points in my class (finally!).

Thanks! The battle will be for 3rd place in AA as none of us can touch Eric and Brian. Michael and I battled for it both events so far and it will continue throughout the season. Neither one of us can let our guard down.

There are a couple others right on our shirt tails as well. Kyle was not far behind and will get a course where the Mini shines, and there's a new guy Ronan who has skillz and a fast S54 M Coupe he's getting much faster in. I don't know how I can compete with that little rocket powered sneaker on wheels! He's contemplating a diff change and I hope he does it cuz it will push him up into AAA with points.

Heres my 323 with 163k miles..... and because I learned last week that it doesnt have the infamous subframe problem, I'm going be doing alot on it this summer..


Ive already painted the interior trim pieces from a nasty glossy black to a aluminum silver last winter. Im going to black out the kidney grilles tonight, and give it a car wash today.

I also plan on wrapping the exterior moldings with matching vinyl soon. And hopefully later on this summer i can have my local indy convert it over to a manual tranny if the auto starts to struggle more.

After my next halogen bulb burns out, i plan on doing an xenon conversion and replacing the ambers with clears..


Yeah, its a project car, but the previous owner pampered it (It has literally had everything replaced by the best indy in town)-except for the Maaco paint job 3 years ago-that I'm going to have to redo myself (at least i painted cars as a summer job last year)..

M3 Shadowline window trim went on the car today (along with new rubber door seals), so here are a couple of quick garage shots. M3 rockers and a ZHP back bumper are next up on my list.
