Are those tail lights smoked? You gotta get matching side markers and corner lights too.

I took a few beauty shots this morning. I gave the car its semi-annual detail last weekend: I polished using Menzerna polishes with a random orbital polisher and topped it with 2 layers of Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant applied by hand.

Yeah I think the tails are off ebay cuz just the center stripe is smoked I've been trying to find head light and tail light plastic smoke covers NOT THE FILM but no luck one I get those I will do the side markers

Installed coilovers (Bilstein PSS10) the other night.

Unfortunately, that's about where the good news ends. I took it in to the dealer on Friday to get an alignment done. Rear camber bolts snapped. They were not able to drive the broken bit out of the lower ball joint in the camber arm. Have to order new ball joints, and none of the dealers within 100 miles seem to have one in stock. So I'm driving a 328xi loaner until Tuesday or so. It's also a fairly labor intensive job apparently (read: expensive). They did offer to charge me the labor for only one side, so I'm not being totally raped on this... but it's still more money I would've liked to spend right after spending a good bit on other items.

The car did feel good on the new coils for the little bit that I did get to drive.

Blackfire Wet Diamond... love it! Mine seemed to spoil on me though, got all watery after storing it in the garage.

Mine has only been in the garage since last Fall. Alexsey organized a detailing clinic last summer with Bob Willis (Auto Concierge) as the mentor and he recommended the stuff over Klasse, which is what I've been using. It cures instantly in the sort of weather we see here in the Bay Area, so you can add layers at will. I rather like that. Once applied and buffed off, the surface of my car feels like glass.

I like it too, even better than Rejex and Klasse HGSG. I think it got too hot in my garage and spoiled it. I may order another bottle some day.

It sure was. Jon stopped in to hang out with me while I took delivery, then we had lunch before I left Santa Barbara for my trip up the coast to home near Santa Cruz. Jon and I have a history... when he was General Manager of Cutter Motors, I ordered a 1999 528i and a 2002 530i from him. He wasn't there when 2005's purchase came up, but I did business with Bruce Aiches, the salesman who handled the previous two deliveries for me. Good people doing honest business the way it should be done!
