Mo.licious the trim came out really good! silver/grey trim always looks better with a black interior than with a wood trim IMO, i have a gray interior and will be painting my trim as well i didnt know if i should paint the wood shift knob too but now that i saw yours ive decided that it looks great! i was thinking of doing it a silver color but alot of my friends are telling me to paint it the same color as the exterior of my car, what do u think? and did u do it yourself? was it a hard procedure to do??

Thanks for the kind words Luis, yeah I did the painting myself. I did 3 coats of "Dark Grey" by Duplicolor, and then 3 coats of clear, for every trim part including the knob. It wasn't really tough, just takes a skill to get paint on even without bubbles or drips. I was initially going to paint my trim more of a titanium silver "metallic" and hated the way it looked, then went with the more charcoal grey. If you want to see the metallic silver go here..(http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...228&highlight=)

I really dig exterior color of your car, and think it will totally work with your grey interior. I think if you go with silver, you run the risk of your whole interior looking bland with no contrast.

A friend put it there while I was away, and I saw it and it sort of reminded me of the DeLorean Interior from Back to the Future...

Also, reminds me not to take myself too seriously.

1985 DeLorean.

Or, he either traveled to the future, retrofitted an E-46, new sport seats, some aerodynamic changes, and there it is.

or not.
