Hello to all BMW lovers

Hello,

I bought my first and only BMW in January 2007, a dark blue 1997 Z3 2.8 manual 5 speed. I fell in love with the car as soon as I took it for a test drive. The car had 89,000 miles on it when I bought it and I use it as my daily driver, except on snowy days. It now has 119,000 miles on it. I have had only minor problems since the purchase. I made the mistake of lowering the top in cold weather and the back window shattered. Had to get a new top. I had an exhaust test plug fall out while driving on the interstate. I had the right rear tire blow out in February of 2007. I had the left rear tire blow out just before Christmas on 2008. I just replaced both rear tires with the correct size 245/40R17. Seems the previous owner had installed 225/45R17 all around, not the suggested larger size in the rear. Hopefully this doesn't occur again.

In cold weather I have a rattle in the rear behind the cockpit. In warm weather the sound is not noticeable. I think that it may be the shock mounts, but haven't put it on a lift to see. Any suggestions.
