540i (e39) Water Pump Removal Help

I have found help on bimmerfest concerning the 528i's water pump r&r. However the 8 cyclinder is a little different.

I am having trouble getting to the 10mm bolt located at the 6 o'clock position on the water pump. Is there a way to get if off without removing the cam pulley? If I remove the cam pulley will I create any extra work for myself?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the fest. Please use the SEARCH option at the top of the page and search for water pump removal and for the section put E39. If you cannot find it post your problem in the E39 section.
