Who here is a member of the BMWCCA?

I figure if nothing else, my $40 gets me $500 in return on my next car. Sounds like a worth investment.

That’s what I did it for but then ended up buying my car 4 months too soon and am not eligible for the discount. Oh wells.

Are you in the NCC? if so, many of the autocross events will be at Summit Point (in the panhandle of WV). It's got a really, really great set-up. I was out there a few weeks ago with some of the guys setting up courses. It's the difference of going snowboarding on a sledding hill and going at a ski resort.

I am as well. Unfortunately have not participated in any events YET. I have however taken advantage of numerous discounts and enjoy one hell of a member magazine.

When I was autocrossing my Miata with SCCA, I often saw the BMWCCA running an event in the next parking lot. Looks like they were hotlapping with multiple cars on the track. That scares the crap out of me, worrying about someone spinning out in front of me, or me doing the spinning and crashing cars together.

The SCCA staggers the runs so the only thing you might hit is a cone. Is multiple-car hot lapping the common format for BMWCCA? I'd love to autox this car but can't afford to bash it up.

I am. Participate in occasional social gatherings/events, plenty of HPDEs, and I instruct at the car control clinics for the Golden Gate Chapter.

I hope to get into HPDE instruction some time so I can help my fellow gearheads as much as the instructors who have helped me.

I did a little instruction for a while and it is sure nerve wrecking...boys dont like to listen to me even though I could drive circles around them in their own car

Im a member, but I havent done any of the events or meetings, after I signed up I got really busy with some things and now the weather has just been terrible.

I am a member of the Sacramento Valley chapter. I go to the monthly dinners occasionally and participate in some of the drives that they sponsor. I really like the 10%-20% discount I get on parts and the rebate on a BMW purchase. I don't know of any other club that offers that for purchasing a vehicle.

Just recently got my 10 yr pin. Only in the last year able and interested in participating more (club drives, autocross, social gatherings). Wish I had gotten involved earlier.

I've been a BMWCCA member since 2001 when I bought my first BMW, enjoy Roundel and the discounts offered by some dealers on parts to club members. I have not participated in any club activities though, I plan to in the future.

Been a member for a bout a year now. Took a driving control clinic through them at the Monterrey airport it was awesome
