best fit for an e30???

i have a dilemma. i always wanted my e30 to just have a stock look. but ive been looking at sportmax rims & tires. any good? also i cannot decide which springs and shocks i should get for my e30. any advice?

Best Spring/Shock setup is bilstein sports with h/r sports

if you decide to get sportmax rims, you need hubcentric rings or else they will vibrate like they are out of balance. I have sportmax 501's, and am satisfied for the time being. In the long run, I'd like to have something a little nicer on my car, but the price was right. You also need to run a streched tire if you have sportmax rims and a lowered car.

if you are money capable, Ronal LS wheels are my personal favorite on e30's

sportmax's .. they cant be beat for the money. as for springs and shocks, go with bilstein sports and either H&R race, or sport springs. Ronals are ok .. if you want stock look .. but why buy a stock looking rim that costs hundreds more then the stock rims ?

because they are 15". hundreds more? are you comparing brand new ronals vs old ass weaves? btw, sportmax is not stock look, not by a very long shot and i personally do not think much of the stretched tire look. as you know.

old ass weaves in good condition vs new ronals doesnt justuify the hundreds more for the wheels. some cleaner and a wash can make a good set of weaves look new. i never said sportmax were stock look, he said he was considering them. you either dont like sportmax's or you do. you dont, i do

I want to use the popcorn emoticon again, but i think its getting old...

bavauto was basically giving away ronal LS rims this summer right after the aftermarket division of ronal closed down. I almost bought a set, but dad, brother, and best friend all convinced me they weren't cool enough. I kick myself almost every day because of that one.

dood everything is a vigorous argument in the e30 section.

ronals have nothing to do with our argument ..

Just say no to sportmaxx, I would rather run a ugly oem wheel than run something that is cheap, ugly, and has a history of poor quality.

this has been talked about a million times on every e30 forum. how they look is strictly personal taste and cheap isnt a problem. please do share how they are poor quality ?

If you read them its always a pot hole or a rock. I crashed one of my cars head on into a mountain, jumped the curb and barely bent one wheel but totaled my car. I don't trust a wheel company that sells things that are the most important part of the car at flea bargin prices in a one size fits all.

cant say i like the stretched tire look, but sportmax's are alright, if they were so damn wide...

those pics are drastic pics of bad accidents. idc what anyone says. no matter what wheel you have it will break in a major accident. look at Rota ... the "i hit a pothole" one is BS considering i have very stiff race suspension and have hit very hard potholes going reasonably fast with not even a bend. as for the "vurb rash" one .. are you serious ? looks like he drove through the curb and didnt slow down or let off the gas.
