The Navy can be quite picky on their selections. The Army will hire any idiot.

Yep, that's the BHPH system. I was a GM for years with Drivetime. In order to hang the customer for the debt and put it on the credit report the repo'd car must go through the auction process and the customer remains liable for the defficiency balance. We ran the cars through dirty, with flat tires, smoking, whatever. When nobody else bid on them a DT rep threw in a low bid and we bought the car from ourselves, however because it went through the auction the customer is still on the hook. I spent a shorter period after that with a local large BHPH called Bond, they didn't mess with legal process and just put the car back on the lot. Typicly the down payment at a BHPH covers the invest, two years of high payments are the profit. At DT we sold the story you aren't so much paying a high price for the car, you are paying a premium to buy your credit rating.

The Federal government has a consolidated website (www.usajobs.com) for many of its job vacancies. As you can imagine, all sorts of jobs, disciplines, etc. all over the country. The application process will most likely take longer than other jobs. I got hired into the government through the Presidential Management Intern program (www.pmf.opm.gov). Great way to start. Need to be getting your graduate degree. It's too late to apply this year. Probably be accepting applications again in the Fall.
