DIY - HVAC Blower Motor Replacement
As the E39 is aging gracefully....
 , the HVAC Blower may fail. Symptoms are noisy blower motor, worse with higher speed.The good news it is all within the scope of a Saturday mechanic using common tools. ---> 03/2000 PN 64118372493 approx. $125 03/2000 ----> PN 64118385558 approx. $125 Prices are from: http://www.autohausaz.com. Go through all the pictures which are from BMW T.I.S., used by BMW mechanics. The bottom line is the dash top lining needs to come out first. Budget about 3-5 hours for this job (depending on your skill levels and whether you are drinking a 6-pack when doing this job!). HTH. |
