What's different on the M-sport?

My father owns a 2003 540i msport and i have looked online to find out what is different about it performance wise from the regular 540, but cannot find much. I know that the springs, exhaust and torque converter are different. Anyone know?

The Sport Pkg. consists of springs & shocks that are about 20% stiffer than standard, and also lower the car around 15mm. Sway bars are a little bigger (stiffer), larger wheels & wider tires, sport seats and steering wheel. Drivetrain remains the same....the torque converter is *not* different.The addition of the Sport Pkg., while not looking like much on paper, *totally* transforms the E39 into a more perfect sporting sedan.

Addendum: the term "M-Sport" is only used for models sold outside the U.S. (it usually incorporates different body panels as well as the items I already mentioned) . we get the Sport Package here....
